Angers
Angers is a charming fortified town situated
on the doorstep of the Loire-Valley - a UNESCO heritage site. It is
recognised for its quality of life. Set in the heart of the Pays de la Loire

press of being a desirable place to live. Angers, the capital of the
historic province of Anjou, is considered one of the most beautiful cities

Its massive castle (early 13th century) with its moat and soaring towers
houses the oldest and largest tapestries of the world : the tapestries of
the Apocalypse. The court of Rene on Anjou, known as the Good, regent of
Sicily and Jerusalem resided here. A man of letters and benefactor of the
local community, fond of fetes and tournaments where were often held at
the castle.
